EP 8 - From surviving to thriving with molly fenton
On today’s episode of Say It How It Is, Ffion and Gwen are joined by Love Your Period Founder and Women’s Health Activist, Molly Fenton.
At the age of 16, Molly was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour, after years of suffering with a variety symptoms that had affected her life significantly. One of which was the severity of her periods after starting them at just age 8. Following her diagnosis, Molly set up The ‘Love Your Period’ Campaign, aiming to open conversations around menstrual health and help to provide young people with information, knowledge and support around their periods.
Love Your Period now has 75 people world wide working towards their common goal, with an age range of 12- 87. They have a huge presence within the Welsh Government and are working with a variety of companies to help diminish period poverty by providing period products to those who need them.
Molly is a shining example of how to use what you go through as a vehicle for change and a way to help other people. We are so inspired by Mollys outlook on life and we are confident that you will be too.
