The Mission
Say It How It is is on a mission to bring taboo topics to light and change the narrative.
Despite the challenges and setbacks, there is always hope. There are so many inspiring and life changing stories that deserve to be heard.
I just want to remind you that you aren’t alone.
Where It All Began
I always knew I had life experience to share, but I never felt brave enough.
The idea for Say It How It Is came to me after I opened up about my own experience with endometriosis. After years of unexplained pain, I finally had surgery that revealed I had severe endometriosis—so advanced that it had already impacted my fertility. It was a devastating moment, but one that pushed me to speak up.
When I shared my diagnosis, I was overwhelmed by the number of people who reached out. So many of them had been suffering in silence, just like I had. That response hit me hard. I realised how many people are carrying heavy things with no place to put them—and that’s when I knew I had to take the step to create a space where people could be open, honest, and feel less alone.
I said to myself: Let’s stop pretending we’re fine when we’re not. Let’s say it how it is.
My Mission
I created this podcast to hold space for real conversations. No filters, no sugar-coating—just truth. Whether we’re talking about health, heartbreak, identity, loss, or just life in all its chaos, Say It How It Is is about showing up as you are and owning your story.
At the end of Season 1, I decided to share mine. I knew I couldn’t ask others to be vulnerable without doing the same. It wasn’t easy, but I felt a duty to be honest—because that’s what this platform is built on.
My mission is simple: to remind people that their truth matters. That being real is powerful. And that none of us have to carry our stories alone.
